2010 FLEET FEET SPORTS TRAIL RUN SERIES RULES

This is the second year of the Fleet Feet Sports Trail Run Series.  In order to join the series, simply enter the individual races in the series.  Visit the specific event page for registration information.  The race directors will provide race results in order to calculate the runners points.  Your age group will be determined based on your age at the time you participate in your first event in 2010. 

Age Groups: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

Scoring

The series scoring will be based on points scored for each event and distance.  Points will be given to the the top five male and female overall and top five male and female in each age group.  Half Marathon distance will earn extra points.  In order to calculate the final series score, runners must score in at least 2 of the races in the series.

 

5K 10K, Tower Challenge

Half Marathon
   1st = 5 Points 1st = 10 Points 1st = 20 Points
2nd = 4 Points 2nd =  7 Points 2nd = 15 Points
3rd = 3 Points 3rd = 5 Points 3rd = 10 Points
4th = 2 Points 4th = 3 Points 4th = 5 Points
5th = 1 Point 5th = 1 Point 5th = 3 Points

 

If there is a tie at the end of the series, the following tie breakers will apply:

  • The runner who has completed the most series events will be placed ahead
  • If the runners have competed in the same event, the higher placing runner will be placed ahead

Current Standings 

Current point standings will be posted here at the conclusion of each event.

Awards

At the conclusion of the series, the overall male and female series winners and the top 3 age group winners with the highest points will be awarded prizes.  Overall winners do not qualify for age-group awards.

  • Overall winners win BROOKS shoes, $50 Fleet Feet gift card, technical trail series shirt, hydration bottle, and Balega trail socks
  • First place Age Group winners receive a $20 Fleet Feet gift card
  • Second place Age Group winners receive a hydration bottle
  • Third place Age Group winners receive Balega trail socks
