January 1st, Super Bowl Monday, March 18th, July 5th...I think you get the idea. To me, these mornings call for a detoxifying breakfast to combat whatever happened the night before, and it doesn't get much more nutritious than raw kale, carrots, peanut butter, and banana. I like the rice milk because it's much easier on my system than traditional dairy. This smoothie fills me up and leaves me feeling recharged and ready for the day. Pair it with a few scrambled eggs for the complete recovery experience.
Cook's note: By frozen kale, I mean a bag of fresh, chopped kale that I pop into the freezer as soon as I get home from the grocery store.
