EVENT DESCRIPTION: The Lagoon Valley Trail Run offers a 5K and 10K, 2 mile fun run/walk and 1/2 mile kid's run benefiting the Jack and Julia Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC) Clinic at Children's Hospital in Oakland.  1 in 6000 are born with TSC, which causes tumor growth in major organs and a multitude of mild to severe medical conditions.  Note: only the 5K and 10K qualify for the  Fleet Feet Trail Run Series.

ENTRY FEE:

  • 10K Trail Run $25 through September 17, 2009, $30 after
  • 5K Trail Run $20 through September 17, 2009, $25 after
  • Kid's 1/2 mile run $10 through September 17, 2009, $12 after
  • 2 Mile fun walk/run $17 through September 17, 2009, $20 after
  • Technical t-shirt for the first 500 5/10K/2 Mile entrants. 
  • Cotton t-shirt available for Kid's fun run/walk.        

RACE START: 5K and 10K start at 9:00am.  2 Mile walk/run starts at 9:10am.  Kid's 1/2 mile run starts at 10:30am

PACKET PICK-UP: Early packet pick-up available at Fleet Feet Sports Vacaville, 354 Merchant Street Vacaville CA on Friday September 18, 2009 between 4-6:00pm. Race day packet pick-up available at event site starting at 7:30 am.

COURSE DETAILS: 10K is all trail with moderate difficulty climbs of 300 and 600 feet, with panoramic views, shaded and open space, with some single track areas.  The 5K is all mostly flat wide dirt trail with mild elevation gains.  The 2 Mile walk/run is paved and dirt, flat trail loop.  The Kid's 1/2 mile is a flat, wide dirt trail.

PARKING: Free parking near start/finish area at Lagoon Valley Park. Exit Pena Adobe road off Interstate 80. Suggest to arrive early for best parking. Park entrance roads close for event at 8:45am.

AGE GROUPS: Male and Female 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

AWARDS: Prizes for overall Male and Female 5K and 10K and 3 deep in each age group.  Competition ribbon for Kid's race.  Incentive prize for fundraising/donation of $100+ to the Jack and Julia TSC Clinic.
