EVENT DESCRIPTION: The Lagoon Valley Trail Run offers a 10K trail run, a 5K road race, 2 mile fun run/walk and 1/2 and 1/4 mile kid's run benefiting the Jack and Julia Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC) Clinic at Children's Hospital in Oakland.  1 in 6000 are born with TSC, which causes tumor growth in major organs and a multitude of mild to severe medical conditions.  Note: 10K qualifies for the  Fleet Feet Trail Run Series.

ENTRY FEE:

  • 10K Trail Run $25 through September 18, 2010, $30 after
  • 5K Trail Run $25 through September 18, 2010, $30 after
  • Kid's 1/2 and 1/4 mile run $12 through September 18, 2010, $15 after
  • 2 Mile fun walk/run $15 through September 18, 2010, $20 after
  • Technical t-shirt for the first 500 5/10K/2 Mile entrants. 
  • Cotton t-shirt available for Kid's fun run/walk.        

RACE START: 5K and 10K start at 9:00am.  2 Mile walk/run starts at 8:45am.  Kid's 1/2 and 1/4 mile run starts at 10:30am

PACKET PICK-UP: Early packet pick-up available at Fleet Feet Sports Vacaville, 354 Merchant Street Vacaville CA on Friday September 24, 2010 between 4-6:00pm. Race day packet pick-up available at event site starting at 7:30 am.

COURSE DETAILS: 10K is all trail with moderate difficulty climbs of 300 and 600 feet, with panoramic views, shaded and open space, with some single track areas.  The 5K is a USATF certified flat road race.  The 2 Mile walk/run is paved and dirt, flat trail loop.  The Kid's 1/2 and 1/4 mile is a flat, road/dirt run.

TEAM INCENTIVE: Team with most registered participants will have $200 donated to a Children's Hospital Oakland department of choice. Second place $100, Third place $50.

PARKING: Free parking near start/finish area at Lagoon Valley Park. Exit Pena Adobe road off Interstate 80. Suggest to arrive early for best parking. Park entrance roads close for event at 8:45am.

AGE GROUPS: Male and Female 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

AWARDS: Prizes for overall Male and Female 5K and 10K and 3 deep in each age group.  Competition ribbon for Kid's race.  Incentive prize for fundraising/donation of $100+ to the Jack and Julia TSC Clinic.
